Forge Marketing Platform · Last updated: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sim Tec MD Inc.(“we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of the Forge Marketing Platformand its associated field-operations applications (the “Service”), collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information — including data accessed from QuickBooks Online when you connect your account. It applies to the businesses and authorized users who use the Service, including where it is provided under a white-labelled brand.
1. Who this applies to
The Service is a business-to-business application for contractors and service companies. It is not directed to children and is not intended for personal or household use. By using the Service or connecting a QuickBooks Online company, you agree to this Policy.
2. Information we collect
Account & profile information
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and roles of your team members.
- Company profile details (business name, address, tax settings, branding).
- Authentication identifiers managed through our identity provider.
Operational data you enter
- Clients/customers, projects, estimates, invoices, payments, schedules, time records, and related documents you create in the Service.
QuickBooks Online data (via the integration)
When an authorized administrator connects a QuickBooks Online company, we access — through Intuit’s official API and only with your authorization — accounting data needed to provide the features you enable, which may include:
- Company information (name, country, tax configuration);
- Customers, products/services (items), and tax codes;
- Invoices and invoice line items;
- Payments and their application to invoices;
- Profit & Loss and related financial reports.
Technical & usage data
- Log data, device/browser information, and diagnostic events used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. How we use QuickBooks Online data
We use QuickBooks Online data solely to provide the features you turn on, namely to:
- display your revenue and financial reports inside the Service;
- create and update invoices in your QuickBooks company from your projects;
- match your services to QuickBooks items and your clients to QuickBooks customers;
- read payments recorded in QuickBooks back into the Service to keep your receivables accurate.
We do not sell QuickBooks Online data, use it for advertising, share it with unrelated third parties, or use it to build profiles for any purpose beyond delivering the Service to you.
4. How we use other information
- To operate, maintain, secure, and support the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. How we store and protect your data
- Data is stored using Google Cloud Platform / Firebase infrastructure. Each business’s data is held in its own dedicated project.
- QuickBooks Online access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and stored only on our servers; they are never exposed to browsers or client applications.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by administrative and technical controls.
- All API communication with Intuit and with the Service occurs over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Sub-processors / service providers that host or power the Service (e.g., Google Cloud/Firebase for hosting and storage; Intuit for the QuickBooks integration). They may process data only on our instructions.
- Legal requirements — where required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information or your QuickBooks Online data.
7. Data retention and disconnection
- We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
- When you disconnect QuickBooks Online (from Settings → Integrations, or from your Intuit account), we revoke the connection and delete the stored access and refresh tokens.
- You may request deletion of your account data as described in “Your rights.”
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and applicable provincial legislation), you may request to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and withdraw consent for optional processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Data location
Our infrastructure and sub-processors may store and process data in Canada, the United States, or other regions where our providers operate. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
10. Security incident response
We maintain reasonable procedures to detect and respond to security incidents and will notify affected parties and regulators where required by law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
